landslides in uganda, bududa district on the slopes of mt elgon. in the evening hours of the 1. march, after heavy rainfalls several villages were hit by landslides. about 90 bodies could be found but another 300 are still missing. due to the difficult access of this area people are still digging without adequate equipment. the government in cooperation with red cross and other aid organizations have set up a camp outside the danger zone. because the rainy season is just to begin.
